indeed. whats the deal. well its hard to find things to post about when you basicly stay in one place all the time. lets call it broken foot syndrome. i could just repost other things. but, you could just follow my twitter feed. witch is also shown on the site. so, sorta no neeed for that.
whats the deal with this OPEN skateboards thing. i follow your twitter and keep seeing “spy shots”.
yeah, there is an OPEN deck out there. and yeah, they are in the wild. here’s the deal. there is also another OPEN deck, that is not done, and not in the wild. no one’s fault. this is just how manufacturing works.
i don’t want to make either deck available until both are available. if you’ve seen an OPEN deck actually out in the wilds of NYC. consider yourself lucky (?). a few people are out there skating them already.

can you really be a, by skaters, for skaters, indie cause we love i,t business?. when you boards have characters from a MAJOR motion picture on them. (though the director has a major? stake in said company) and your moving them like hot cakes (by the look on the streets). isn’t girl REALLY just the powell of the 90s? and nike the airwalk? but now instead of thousands. it takes millions.
in the early 90s.. “gangsters” use to run up on us skating. and hit us, and or steal our shit. now Prod is in a commerical. with ICEcube. with one of the top amazing sons of the early 90s ganger rap thing.
im just saying. i thinking skateboarding is about just going out and skateboarding. but, when the “cool people” become “the man”. how do you fight the man? and are the cool people really the cool people?
so im off to charlevoix MI for a week. the closest “city” is traverse city. witch is funny.
anyways. well i’ll mostly just be chilling. i will feel the need to skateboard. can’t go a week. impossible.
so i did some research. and found this video from traverse city skateshop called “downtown”.
if anyone knows of any place to go skate, or wants to go skating. hit me up. i can’t drive.. so im at the will of my feet.

no seriously though. i love this song. i first got into it cause DJ effx put a gabber version of it on his amazing “disco inferno” mix tape. its been true love ever since. 80′s rock ballads to NOT get better then this. done
go skateboarding day is coming up. i will buy a new board for said occasion. who should i rep? i say hopps.. what do you think. the most votes win. thats who i’ll rep.
[gallery link="file" columns="2"]i love to make things. it isn’t an option. or something to look into. i like the whole process. from concept to refining, being anal, then manufacturing. paying for the manufactureing, and getting the final product. i love all these things. i AM the dreamer of the dreams. but sometimes i do things that are not mass produced or re-broadcast. in this cast, i made a OPEN logo board, one of a kind. never to see the day of bulk daylight. a one off for JL at project bushwick. i hate to sound all douche like. but i think 100% bamboo decks is the future. bamboosk8 is doing an awesome job of pushing things forward, and you will continue to see limited edition 100% bamboo decks from OPEN.

i’m in it. but oh shit. team pain totally brought the awesome to the chinatown park.
snaps once i can get in there and take em. its pretty out. of. control. mccarrin pool area park looks like dog shit now. i wonder how shit the astoria park is gonna be.
lesque has posted their summer decks, and a new little video of them rippin’. i have NO idea where to get the decks (if your interested). but you can atleast check the dope video.
well i have to go work this week. going to work for me is like entering a black hole. i never know what to expect, and its always crazier then i think its going to be. because i can’t comprehend it yet.
so updates will probably be pretty crap this week. like they were this weekend. but, did anyone even using the internet this weekend?
i have been wondering though. as i ask people about skateboard deck sizes. only 1 person i have met, rides an 8″ or bigger deck. yet when i go to a skate shop. it seems like at least half of the decks are 8″ or bigger. am i missing something here?
i mean, yeah, more space for graphics? but 8″& 8″ pluses are just tanks! 7.7x seems to be popular, also 7.6x. but its still like 3 to 1 on the 7.6, though 7.6 riders seem to be the most passionate about skateboarding. im sure this all means something, but right now, my brain can’t do the math.
another math problem. i am hopefully about to receive 100 skateboard decks. umm.. where the fuck am i gonna put these things? anyone have any neat deck storage ideas!!?? im desperate!
