s. ueno is one of my favorite skaters at this point. so this is all i got to say.

here’s some clips recently. that get me all happy about skatering.
this one is of Austyn Gillette just being uber clean, fast, and smooth.
then, on the other side. a wildly creative video from FESN. crate slide to lip slide? well there ya go…
and here is a nicely shot promo from pusher wheels.. out of philly. (lots of new wheel companies these days)
Pusher Nights Commercial from Chris Mulhern on Vimeo.
bunch of clips from strush wheels outta japan.
so, i am endless curious. endlessly… so i got a pair of theeve trucks.. “tony hawk”s new truck company.
they look like ACE trucks. i’ve skated a bunch of those. they talk a lot about their titanium alloy blend.
but i was hit with some info. if your trucks are harder then the edge your grinding on. who takes the damage? the edge. so i went with the “cheap”er version of theeve.. the titanium-less version (aka CSX).
they come with bones hardcore bushings. witch is nothing but a MF plus. best bushing out there.
but, i like my trucks loose. so i put in my soft (blue) bones bushings.
i only spent maybe 30 minutes on these trucks. and here are my first impressions.
they are light. even lighter then the ACEs i had(yes i weight them with a scale that can do .01 oz)
they turn like indy standards. but are a bit lower. they are a true mid. higher then lows. lower then highs.
this lead to me not really getting much wheel bite. (w/ 53s on) but quicker responce on tail or nose snaps.
they are not the titanium mix. so they grind like any other truck.
on the bad side.. wtf angle? my skate tool could barely get on the kingpin nut to tighten or loosen. had to use a regular wrench. evil plot to make you buy their credit card size skate tool? yes, but they might win.
the unpolished version still have that stupid CSX thing on the truck. so.. they are not blank like indy standards.. etc.
they say theeve.. and so people will think your a punk.
but light weight, with a good turning radius.. im into it. plus i personally like the profile. but i think ACEs look like hot shit too.
ACE riders should probably stick with ace. indy riders won’t notice the difference. other then they are way way ligher then indy’s. (the non titanium ones)
everyone else? well your trucks turn like shit anyways so stear clear. you might have to bail when your trucks actually turn.
edit: in value.. bones bushing would cost your 10 – 15$ for a set for your trucks. so 40$ for a set of trucks that INCLUDE them.. is pretty damn good IMO.
edit 2: i painted mine. i noticed the picture on the theeve site id ACTUALLY different then how they look in person. profile. wise.. here is the actual CSX profile.. (never mind my paint)

today, i arrived at Mccarren park. right as i am putting my bag down. someone gets broke the fuck off. like death screams broke. and its who can dial 911 the fastest. at the exact same moment some NYPD are rolling by. we got a homie down so we flag them down. cause they can help right? protect and serve and all that?
as they slowly sonder up to the screaming guy. they tell him to relax..
ok. your not a medic.. thats cool.
they then proceed to push everyone to the sides. and yell and anyone who hop’s on their boards. plus general harassment about about.. “see what happens when you skateboard?”.. not that any one should still be trying to skate when a homie broke off. but, its just instinct when trying to move.
i dunno what the cops where doing. but it took atleast 20 minutes for an ambulence to arrive.
witch is BS. i think they were just taking dudes info. i keep the lurk on. the cops clear everyone out. they kick dudes board back to him (still on the ground). and it hits him. wtf?
they proced to round up us lurkers.. and tell us they are wrighting him a ticket for not wearing “proper protective gear” (this is what the signs on the park says. what does this even mean?) and that they were going to be nice and not write us ALL tickets.
now, i don’t know about anyone else. but those cops #1 and only fucking job. should of been taken care of that dude. not making homies bounce cause they don’t want to get tickets.
and they were basicly given the.. “he got what he deserved” attitude.. it was bullshit.
the NYPD can fuck themselves. and anything bad that happens to them. they have coming.
i am in the studio all weekend. yeah for making cash to keep OPEN going. but, no skating.
lemme post some clips.
